Description Co-sponsored by SHRM-Memphis and in conjunction with the Society for Human Resource Management, the SHRM Learning System is an instructor-led program that offers experienced human resources professionals an opportunity to review the components of a complete human resources program. The course of study is not a prerequisite for the PHR or SPHR exam. Rather, it is a review of the body of knowledge which many individuals use in studying for the exam.Topics include strategic management; workplace planning and employment; total rewards; human resource development; employee and labor relations; and occupational health, safety, security, and test-taking strategies. Fee includes books and materials.

Classes meet every other Saturday with the exception of April 3 class; which will meet on April 10. There is a required orientation on Thursday, February 11th, 6:30-8 PM.

Cost: $1075 for SHRM members; $1175 for non-members. All course materials are included in the registration fee. 4.0 CEUs and 35 recertification hours are awarded to those who successfully complete the program. (Requires minimum 75% attendance.) Cost does not include the exam fee.

Teacher Bio Bill Burtch, SPHR, is the principal and founder of Harmony Coaching & Consulting. Having spent over 15 years in various management leadership positions, Burtch has developed extensive knowledge in the areas of customer service, management and leadership development, total quality management, culture development, human resource practices, mergers and acquisitions and call center management. In 1991 he received Marriott’s highest honor, “The Prestige Award,” for his outstanding contributions to the development and growth of the Fairfield Inn by Marriott chain of hotels.
