| Description |
Midlife is a time when a woman experiences profound changes that affect her body, her emotions, her self-image, and her spirituality. For many of us this is a time of crisis; for all it is a time of transition. Some of the shifts a woman encounters are thrust upon her by her body’s fluctuating and declining hormones, bringing unexpected emotional upheaval, tearfulness, insomnia, irritability and more. Other shifts are the result of circumstances that she may or may not choose (loss due to death or divorce, empty nest, retirement, illness, etc.). Contained in the turmoil of these transition years is an invitation for spiritual and psychological growth, and the opportunity to re-discover forgotten or postponed dreams and desires. This workshop will help women understand the physical changes of perimenopause and the role of bio-identical hormones. It will address spiritual and emotional issues that predictably occur during the midlife and menopause years, and look at how tools such as body and breath work, dreams, meditation, and spiritual direction can increase our well-being and bring about inner growth, healing and integration. Open to all. |
