Description Description: There are many more women disciples in Early Christianity and female characters in the New Testament than you might suspect, and they play much more significant roles than most people realize. This one-day workshop will explore the rich variety of important female characters in the Gospels and of prominent women in the life and ministry of St. Paul. Please bring a Bible, an inquisitive mind, and your own questions and/or favorite stories to share with others. Open to all.

Teacher Bio Felix Just, S.J., Ph.D., Director of Biblical Education at the Loyola Institute for Spirituality in Orange, Calif., received an S.T.L. in Scripture from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley and a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from Yale University. He gives many public lectures on Biblical and liturgical topics, is an instructor in the Catholic Bible Institute, and maintains an extensive website devoted to the New Testament and Catholic Liturgy:
