| Description |
This course covers both the practical steps and the leadership skills needed to set up or strengthen a nonprofit program. Topics include financial and regulatory compliance, organizing the constituency, identifying the vision, mission and leadership, implementing and expanding a volunteer base and other sustainable resources, and the ‘how to’ of building programs and presentations that further a focused mission. The course methodology includes lecture, experiential learning and development projects, and includes instructors with expertise in the various subjects. It is especially suitable for nonprofit and community organizers, directors, board members, fund-raisers and volunteers. To take this course for a Certificate, enroll in the Nonprofit Funding and Development Certificate. |

Kevin SJV Walsh has been involved in leadership training and organizational development for more than fifteen years. He is the CEO of Global Community Enrichment (GCE), LLC. GCE’s clients consist mostly of Fortune 100 companies, major universities, and international non-profit organizations. Kevin is a Doctorate of Psychology in Organizational Consulting candidate at the The Phillips Graduate Institute in Encino, California. Kevin has dedicated 10 years of service to U.S. Doctors for Africa (USDFA). At USDFA, Kevin also acts as the Vice President of Training and Development. Kevin believes that learning and laughter go hand in hand. |
